One woman was hospitalized following a serious crash in Phelps County on Thursday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported the incident occurred at 4:25 p.m. on Highway D, approximately a half mile west of Jerome.
According to authorities, a 2002 Dodge Ram traveling eastbound veered off the right side of the roadway. The driver overcorrected, causing the truck to stray off the left side, strike a ditch, and overturn.
A 59-year-old woman from Dixon, Missouri, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia by Phelps Air Ambulance.
MSHP confirmed that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
