Framingham Woman Dies in Weekend Route 9 Crash
FRAMINGHAM, MA—A woman died following a two-vehicle crash on Route 9 Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred around 12:45 p.m. on the westbound side of Worcester Road.
An 85-year-old woman, a passenger in one vehicle, was airlifted to UMass Memorial Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, according to Framingham Police. The 73-year-old driver of the same vehicle suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.
The other vehicle, driven by a 30-year-old man, remained at the scene. No additional injuries were reported.
Authorities stated that no charges have been filed at this time. The crash is still under investigation by the Framingham Police, State Police, and the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office.
