CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. — A three-car crash critically injured a driver and closed Buford Road for several hours on Saturday.
Police responded to the incident in the 1300 block of Buford Road around 3:15 p.m. An SUV traveling south crossed the double yellow line and sideswiped an oncoming sedan.
The sedan lost control and was subsequently struck by a pickup truck also heading south. The driver of the pickup was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
Buford Road remained closed between Pinetta Drive and Jahnke Road until approximately 8 p.m. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
