RUPERT, Idaho — A two-vehicle crash on Idaho Highway 24 near Heyburn resulted in one fatality on Tuesday evening.
According to Idaho State Police, the incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. on March 24, near milepost 2. A gray 2024 Toyota Camry, traveling northbound on West 200 South, attempted to turn west onto Idaho Highway 24 when it collided with a gray 2025 Kawasaki Motorcycle heading eastbound.
The Camry was occupied by a 22-year-old male driver and a 49-year-old male passenger, both from Rock Springs, Wyoming. All occupants were wearing seat belts. The motorcycle was operated by a 20-year-old male from Rupert, who was wearing a helmet.
The motorcyclist, identified by the Minidoka County Coroner as 21-year-old Keaton Andrew Ring, succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash at the scene.
The northbound lane of Idaho Highway 24 was closed for approximately two hours during the investigation.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
