RIVERDALE, Utah (KUTV) — A man lost his life in a collision on northbound I-15, close to the I-84 interchange.
Early Wednesday morning, a passerby alerted the Weber County dispatch center to a sedan that had veered off the road and crashed.
The vehicle in question, a 2001 Mitsubishi, was traveling north on I-15 near the I-84 interchange when it encountered the accident. The driver's side of the car was completely torn off upon impact.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and discovered a 29-year-old man deceased in the driver's seat.
Investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing, with officials noting that standing water was present at the scene.
During the investigation, the right lane of northbound I-15 was closed to traffic.
