Six Dead in Private Jet Crash in Bangor During Snowstorm
BANGOR, ME — A private jet crash claimed the lives of six people shortly after takeoff on Jan. 25 at approximately 2:41 p.m.
The aircraft went down during adverse weather conditions associated with a snowstorm. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the jet was attempting to depart from Bangor International Airport when it lost altitude and crashed shortly after takeoff.
Emergency response teams, including the Bangor Fire Department and local police, arrived promptly at the scene. Authorities confirmed that all six occupants on board were pronounced dead at the site of the accident.
