CARTER COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A 35-year-old man from Ringling died in a utility vehicle accident on Faith Hill Rd. on Oct. 24.
Emergency crews responded around 7 p.m. to the scene of the crash. Authorities reported that a Can-Am UTV was traveling east when it veered left off the roadway and collided with a tree.
The driver sustained injuries, while passenger Joseph Wheeler succumbed to his injuries at the site. No other vehicles were involved, and the roadway was briefly closed for emergency response.
The cause of the accident is under investigation. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is leading the inquiry.
