MCCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — A Broken Bow woman has died following a two-vehicle crash in McCurtain County on Monday.
At approximately 5 p.m., emergency crews responded to an accident at the intersection of Hwy 259 and Carson Creek Rd. According to authorities, 35-year-old Savanna Ennis was driving northbound on Hwy 259 when her vehicle veered off the roadway to the right.
Ennis' vehicle traveled an estimated 535 feet in the ditch before returning to the road, only to cross the center line and collide head-on with another vehicle after another 114 feet. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Ennis succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The cause of the initial roadway departure is currently under investigation.
