KNOXVILLE, Iowa — A single-vehicle crash in Marion County late Saturday night resulted in one fatality, according to authorities.
The incident occurred on Highway T-17, east of 216th Place, just before midnight. A pickup truck failed to navigate a curve, entered a ditch, vaulted over another ditch, and overturned.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Alex Eugene Killoren of Knoxville, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities confirmed that Killoren was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The Iowa State Patrol is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
