Durham Woman Dies from Injuries in 4-Vehicle Crash on U.S. 70

DURHAM, N.C. — A 34-year-old woman from Durham has died following a four-vehicle collision on U.S. Highway 70 on October 1 at approximately 3:45 p.m.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near the intersection with Page Road. The woman was transported to Duke University Hospital with critical injuries but succumbed to her injuries later that evening.

Three other vehicles were involved in the incident, with two drivers sustaining minor injuries. Authorities reported that all lanes were temporarily closed during the investigation and for the removal of vehicles.

Emergency response teams, including Durham Emergency Medical Services and local fire departments, were on the scene providing assistance.
