I-94 Eastbound Lanes Reopen Following Early Morning Semi Crashes
ST. PAUL, MN — The eastbound lanes of I-94 are reopening following two semi crashes early Wednesday morning.
The first incident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m., involving a jackknifed semi that blocked traffic for several hours. A second semi overturned later in the morning, exacerbating the congestion and prompting a response from emergency crews, who worked to clear the scene.
Authorities stated that traffic management cameras captured first responders aiding in the cleanup effort near Wabasha Street. As of the latest updates, the Minnesota State Patrol has been contacted for more information on the circumstances surrounding both crashes and to confirm any injuries.
These incidents follow a deadly crash less than 24 hours prior, where a speeding stolen car collided with a semi, resulting in three fatalities and four injuries.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
