BOISE COUNTY, Idaho — A Caldwell woman, 32, died Saturday afternoon in a head-on collision on State Highway 21 near Lowman.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. on September 26, at milepost 84. According to Idaho State Police, a black 2020 Lexus, driven by a 40-year-old Boise man, was traveling south, accompanied by a juvenile passenger. A gray 2020 Nissan Armada, operated by a 40-year-old Caldwell man, was headed northbound, with a 32-year-old Caldwell woman as a passenger.
Authorities said the Lexus crossed into oncoming traffic, prompting both vehicles to veer into the southbound lanes and collide head-on. The female passenger in the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency medical teams airlifted the drivers and juvenile passenger to nearby hospitals.
All individuals involved were reported to be wearing seatbelts. The roadway was closed for about five hours as crews cleared the scene.
Assisting at the scene were the Boise County Sheriff's Office, Garden Valley Fire and EMS, and Air St. Luke's. The investigation remains ongoing.
