Juvenile skateboarder seriously injured after being struck by car in Taunton, police say
TAUNTON, Mass. —
A juvenile was seriously injured after being struck by a car while riding his skateboard in Taunton on Tuesday at 4:47 p.m.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Cottage Street and State Street. According to the Taunton Police Department, a 35-year-old woman was driving a car that collided with the juvenile male.
The juvenile was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Taunton Police Patrol Division, with assistance from the Traffic Reconstruction Unit, is investigating the cause of the crash.
