Serious Crash on Harkney Hill Road in Coventry Leaves One Dead
COVENTRY, R.I. — A two-vehicle crash on Harkney Hill Road Tuesday afternoon resulted in the death of one driver and injuries to another, according to the Coventry police.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene near Camp Westwood Road at approximately 4:19 p.m. Each vehicle involved had one occupant.
Firefighters administered lifesaving measures to one driver, a 21-year-old, who was later transported to Kent County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The other driver was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The Coventry Police Accident Reconstruction Team is evaluating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
