Bayard Man Killed in Guthrie County Crash Involving and

GUTHRIE COUNTY, Iowa — A 22-year-old Bayard man died Friday afternoon in a collision between a Jeep and a semi-truck on Justice Road.

The crash occurred at approximately 12:16 p.m. when a Jeep traveling west on 130th Street failed to yield at a stop sign, according to the Iowa State Patrol. A northbound semi-truck then struck the Jeep broadside.

Both vehicles ended up in a ditch as a result of the impact. The driver of the Jeep, identified as Brendan Bork, was at the scene.

Authorities reported that the driver of the semi-truck sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.

The Iowa State Patrol is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Roadway conditions and traffic patterns at the time have not been disclosed.
