ATHENS COUNTY, Ohio — A 45-year-old man died after a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on South Plains Road around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Thomas W. Burson, 45, was traveling southbound on a 2005 Harley-Davidson when he went off the right side of the roadway and struck a curb and a roadway sign.
Authorities said medics transported Burson to Fairfield Medical Center and then to Adena Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
No other vehicles were involved. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
