LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A 44-year-old man died in a hit-and-run incident on N. Nellis Boulevard Monday night, September 14, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.
The collision occurred at 8:47 p.m. near Stewart Avenue. Authorities reported that the pedestrian was crossing westbound outside a marked crosswalk when a southbound 2022-2026 Genesis GV60 struck him with its right front, propelling him onto the west sidewalk.
The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver fled south on Nellis Boulevard.
This incident represents the 85th traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD jurisdiction for 2026. Investigators are seeking public assistance in identifying the suspect vehicle, which is expected to have damage to its right front and side.
