Traffic Collision on U.S. Highway 40 Leaves One Injured
KANSAS CITY, MO.—A traffic collision occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 40 and White Avenue.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, the crash involved two vehicles. One driver, a 28-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The other driver was unharmed.
Emergency responders, including the Kansas City Fire Department, arrived at the scene to assist with medical aid. Both vehicles were towed from the highway.
Authorities reported that the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 40 experienced temporary closures, causing significant delays in traffic. The scene was cleared shortly after 5 p.m.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing. No further details have been released.
