OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — One person is dead following a pedestrian crash on northbound I-35 early Wednesday morning.
At approximately 1:30 a.m. on October 4, first responders were dispatched to the scene near S.E. 44th St. Investigators report a pedestrian was attempting to cross I-35 when a vehicle entered the interstate.
The driver stated he observed the pedestrian but was unable to stop in time. After confirming the pedestrian's condition, the driver fled the scene. Authorities located him shortly afterward, and he is cooperating with the investigation.
The identity of the victim has not been released. The incident remains under investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
