LAKEVILLE, MA — A crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV occurred Monday evening on Route 18, resulting in two serious injuries.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., a Yamaha motorcycle collided with a Honda CR-V, according to police reports. The motorcyclist, a male, and the SUV driver, a female, were the only occupants in their vehicles.
Both individuals sustained serious injuries and were transported by ambulance to Morton Hospital in Taunton for treatment.
Authorities closed Route 18 in both directions for an extended period following the incident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
