Clyde Township, MI — A single-car crash claimed one life late Saturday night, according to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. near 48th Street and 113th Avenue. Deputies found a male driver, who was ejected from his pickup truck after losing control and overturning.
He was the sole occupant of the vehicle. First responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene but were unsuccessful.
Authorities have withheld the man's identity pending family notification. Preliminary investigations indicate that speed and seat belt usage may have contributed to the crash.
The roadway was briefly closed during the investigation but has since reopened. Multiple agencies assisted at the scene.
