SAN ANTONIO – A driver was killed in a fiery crash on the North Side early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on West Bitters Road near Blanco Road. A white SUV, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck a curb and vaulted off an embankment.
Upon landing, the vehicle crashed through a wooden fence, collided with multiple parked cars, and knocked down two covered parking structures before rolling onto its side and igniting.
Emergency responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
