Glen Bowling Injured in One-Vehicle Crash in Pierre
PIERRE, SD — A one-vehicle crash early Monday morning left Glen Bowling, 27, with life-threatening injuries, according to authorities. The incident occurred on Highway 34 near mile marker 7 at approximately 2:41 a.m.
Reports indicate Bowling was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to roll multiple times. Emergency responders from the Hughes County Sheriff's Office and Pierre Fire Department arrived shortly after the incident was reported. Bowling was transported to Avera St. Mary's Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The eastbound lane of Highway 34 was briefly closed for the investigation and cleanup operations, which have since concluded.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional details regarding the cause have been released at this time.
