PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Two bicyclists, including a child, were injured in a vehicle crash Monday morning in western Palm Beach County.
Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR) responded to the incident at 7:15 a.m. at the intersection of 162nd Drive North and Sycamore Drive near Westlake. Crews discovered an adult and a child bicyclist suffering from injuries.
The child met trauma alert criteria and was transported by ground ambulance to a local trauma center, along with the adult victim. According to PBCFR, a pediatric trauma alert is designated for individuals aged 15 and younger.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash. No further information regarding the victims' conditions or the details of the incident has been released.
