KEOKUK, Iowa — Four students and a driver were injured in a school bus crash Friday afternoon in Lee County.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies responded to the incident at 1:53 p.m. in the 3500 block of Argyle Road. Five individuals were on the bus at the time—four students and one adult driver—who all sustained injuries and were transported for medical evaluation.

Authorities did not disclose the severity of the injuries. The bus was nearing the end of its route when the crash occurred, and family members of those involved have been notified.

Emergency responders from multiple law enforcement and medical agencies attended the scene, along with school personnel. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the cause of the incident.
