Victim identified in fatal Framingham hit-and-run; police continue search for driver.
Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a man dead in Framingham, Massachusetts, on Sunday evening.
Officers responded to the scene at 180 Irving St. shortly before 9 p.m.
They found the victim, identified as Ronan Nunes de Oliveira, 39, of Framingham, who was transported to MetroWest Medical Center with serious injuries and later died.
According to authorities, a gray 2016 Volkswagen GTI struck de Oliveira, and the driver fled the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle speeding through the neighborhood before the crash occurred.
Family members stated that de Oliveira is survived by two children, ages 9 and 11.
