SOUTH WEBSTER, Ohio (WKRC) — A race car driver and television personality died Saturday night after a crash at KD Motorsports Park.
According to WCHS, Chris Gordon, known as “Block,” was involved in an incident during a racing event. KD Motorsports Park confirmed the crash on social media, stating that it caused the cancellation of the remaining activities for the evening.
Authorities reported that life-saving measures were performed by rescue and EMS personnel, but Gordon was pronounced dead at the scene. The racetrack later requested fans to keep Gordon's family, medical staff, and first responders in their thoughts.
In a statement, KD Motorsports Park expressed, “Keep his wife and family in your thoughts and prayers as we all try to mourn the loss of this good man, an absolute legend of our sport.”
Details of the incident remain unclear, and an investigation is ongoing. Gordon was also the leader of Team South Carolina on Discovery's “Street Outlaws: Fastest in America.” The racing community has since shared tributes honoring his legacy.
