LAMAR COUNTY, Miss. — A motorcycle crash on Highway 589 resulted in the death of Sheriff's investigator Andretta English on Saturday at approximately 2:10 p.m.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 40-year-old Nicole Prestenbach of Petal was traveling southbound when it collided with a northbound 2025 Honda motorcycle operated by 30-year-old Andretta English from Seminary.
Authorities reported that Prestenbach and an 8-year-old passenger in the Silverado were unharmed. English sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where she later died.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
