MILLCREEK, Utah (KUTV) — A rollover crash claimed one life near 3900 South and 1300 East in Millcreek on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Unified Police, an SUV veered off the roadway, struck mailboxes and a cement post, then became airborne before colliding with a parked vehicle outside a business. First responders attempted to provide aid, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
Authorities reported that the Medical Examiner's Office will investigate the cause of death. An investigation into the crash's circumstances is ongoing.
The intersection remains closed as detectives work at the scene. Sgt. Aymee Race advised the public to avoid the area, noting that lane closures are expected for several hours. Further updates on road openings will be provided once available.
