Woman Injured in Wood County Two-Vehicle Crash on I-77.

WOOD COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 77 South on Sunday morning.

The incident occurred just before 9 a.m. near mile marker 179, according to the Wood County Sheriff's Office. Deputies reported that the woman's vehicle rear-ended a commercial truck traveling southbound.

Emergency responders transported the woman to Camden Clark Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the commercial vehicle was unharmed.

I-77 South was briefly closed to facilitate accident cleanup, but the roadway has since reopened. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.

This crash occurred just hours before a separate fatal accident on I-77 North in the same vicinity, which is also under investigation.
