Wrong-way crash survivor faces long road to recovery after near-fatal collision.

A wrong-way, head-on crash on U.S. Route 33 in Violet Township around 12:44 a.m. Saturday killed one driver and injured another.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a driven by 28-year-old Bailey Johnston was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes and struck an eastbound vehicle driven by 21-year-old David Mueller.

Authorities said Johnston died at the scene. Medics transported Mueller to Grant Medical Center; his condition was not released.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No additional details about lane closures or tows were immediately available.
