A 47-year-old man died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash about 6:40 p.m. July 26 on Dixie Highway in Walton, officials said.
According to the Boone County Sheriff's Office, the rider was identified as Robert Schulze, 47, of Williamstown, Kentucky.
Authorities said Schulze was traveling southbound on Dixie Highway when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve at the intersection with Duffel Lane.
The motorcycle left the roadway and struck a culvert and a metal gate; Schulze was ejected and died at the scene, deputies said.
The Boone County Sheriff's Office Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating.
