MADISON COUNTY, Ohio — A wrong-way driver on Interstate 71 caused a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning that sent one driver to a hospital, authorities said.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Emilee Fetch was driving a white SUV the wrong way on I-71 in Madison County.
Authorities said the SUV sideswiped a Ford pickup truck and both vehicles crashed.
The pickup driver was transported to a hospital with minor injuries, according to the patrol.
Troopers said Fetch was under the influence and cited for OVI and wrong-way driving.
Witnesses reported, and viewer video showed, the SUV traveling against traffic on I-71.
Details on lane closures and tows were not released. The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
