Woman Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on La. 25 in Folsom
COVINGTON, LA – A two-vehicle crash on Louisiana 25, near Folsom, resulted in the death of a 39-year-old woman Monday evening, State Police reported.
According to authorities, Rachel Bitter of Folsom was traveling northbound on La. 25 in a 2013 Cadillac ATS around 6:25 p.m. A southbound 2015 Ford E250 crossed the centerline near Sweet Olive Lane and collided with the front left side of Bitter's vehicle.
Bitter, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where she later died. The driver of the Ford, also wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment.
Routine toxicology samples were taken from both drivers, police said. The investigation remains ongoing, and charges are pending.
