NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Four teenagers died in a head-on collision early Sunday morning on Mt. View Road near Asheford Trace in Antioch.
At approximately 12:45 a.m., 17-year-old Kerlos Toma was driving an Infiniti sedan when it collided with a Jeep Renegade. Toma and three passengers—19-year-olds Maximos Ibrahim and David Fakhory, and 17-year-old Raafat Nassif—were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities reported that speed was a factor in the crash, and no occupants in either vehicle were wearing seatbelts. Preliminary investigations suggest the Infiniti may have crossed into the Jeep's lane at the time of impact.
A memorial has been established at the crash site, adorned with flowers, balloons, and candles, as community members gather to honor the young men. Many have stopped by to share memories and express condolences.
“This is a tremendous loss for our community,” said local residents who were affected by the tragedy.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to finalize the circumstances surrounding the collision.
