Motorcycle Crash in Terrytown Claims One Life
A motorcycle crash in Terrytown early Saturday morning resulted in the death of a male rider, according to the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office.
The incident occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on Holmes Boulevard near Athena Avenue. Authorities said the motorcyclist was traveling northbound when he collided with a roadway barrier. He was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries.
Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the incident, and no additional injuries were reported.
Toxicology testing will be performed as part of the autopsy, Capt. Jason Rivarde, a spokesperson for the department, stated. Investigators are continuing to assess the circumstances surrounding the crash.
