Florida deputies revive unresponsive woman behind the wheel after highway crash.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — A high-stakes rescue occurred Wednesday when deputies found an unconscious driver on I-4.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the incident began as a routine crash response. While assessing the scene, a deputy was alerted to a woman slumped behind the wheel of her vehicle.

Authorities noted the woman was not breathing and lacked a pulse. A second deputy quickly arrived, and both deputies removed her from the vehicle, initiating CPR.

During the rescue, one deputy utilized a defibrillator while the other provided additional emergency medical support. They continued their life-saving efforts until Fire Rescue crews arrived to take over.

The woman was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital, where she is reported to be in stable condition.
