PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A crash involving federal immigration officers occurred on Chalkstone Avenue on Tuesday around 12:45 p.m.
Providence Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident between a sedan and an SUV, both sustaining damage. The vehicles were located at the intersection of Chalkstone Avenue and Raymond Street.
According to authorities, the individuals involved were agents from the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A utility pole was also struck and brought down during the incident, prompting ongoing police presence at the scene.
