VASSALBORO, ME—A 92-year-old driver from Winslow was killed in a crash on Thursday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on U.S. Route 201. According to authorities, the single-vehicle accident involved a Ford sedan that veered off the roadway. Emergency medical services responded to the scene, but the driver was pronounced dead upon arrival.
At least one lane of the route was closed for several hours while investigators assessed the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No other vehicles were involved, and no further injuries were reported.
