ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. — A child was killed, and another injured Monday afternoon when a dirt bike collided with a FedEx box truck, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 3:07 p.m. in the 600 block of East Midway Road near Fort Pierce.
Authorities reported that two minors were riding a dirt bike when the collision took place. A 9-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 12-year-old was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
