62-Year-Old Man Dies in LANTA Bus Crash in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, PA — A 62-year-old man died following a collision with a LANTA bus Monday morning, authorities reported.

The crash occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of West Tilghman and North Ott streets, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio. The man, who was driving the other vehicle, was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he was about an hour later. An autopsy is set for Tuesday.

The identity of the deceased has been confirmed, but his name will be withheld until after the autopsy, Buglio stated.

A LANTA spokesperson confirmed that the agency is conducting its own internal investigation and is cooperating with local authorities. The Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office are also investigating the incident.
