MONONA, Wis. (WKOW) — A 25-year-old man injured in a crash on Tuesday has died, according to Monona Police Chief Brian Chaney.

The crash involved seven vehicles at the intersection of East Broadway and Monona Drive. The man's identity has not been released by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.

Authorities reported that a full-size pickup truck was traveling east on Broadway when the driver experienced a medical emergency. The vehicle accelerated uncontrollably, colliding with multiple cars stopped at a red light.

Six drivers sustained injuries in the incident. Along with the deceased, a woman suffered serious injuries and is currently in stable condition. The other injuries were classified as non-life-threatening.

The driver of the pickup truck, who was unharmed, is cooperating with investigators. The crash remains under investigation.
