Fatal Crash Near Millsboro Claims One Life
MILLSBORO, DE — An 18-year-old woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash on May 14, according to Delaware State Police.
Paishence Young, of Millsboro, was driving on Hollyville Road near Harmony Cemetery Road around 9:10 a.m. when her vehicle lost traction on the wet road while attempting a turn. Young's car crossed into oncoming traffic, colliding with a Hyundai.
The impact forced the Hyundai into a nearby Jeep, which swerved to avoid the initial collision. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assess injuries and provide medical aid, but Young was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. No additional injuries have been reported. Lane closures occurred during the response, but the roadway has since reopened.
