LILIHA, Hawaii (Island News) — A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized following a moped crash early Saturday morning.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to the incident at 605 N. School Street near Vineyard Boulevard shortly after 2 a.m. on May 2, 2026.
The boy, a passenger on the moped, sustained serious injuries and was transported to an emergency room for treatment. No injuries were reported for the moped's driver.
Authorities have not confirmed any suspected factors in the accident, such as speed or impairment. The investigation is ongoing.
