LUCASVILLE, Ohio — A head-on crash early Thursday on State Route 104 in Scioto County killed a 51-year-old woman and injured another driver.
Troopers were called to Route 104 near milepost 15 just before 4 a.m. for a two-vehicle collision, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Investigators said a northbound 2019 Jeep Cherokee went left of center and struck a southbound 2008 Chevrolet Impala head-on.
The Impala's driver, Ruth D. Spencer, 51, of Lucasville, died at the scene, authorities said.
The Jeep's driver, Abreanna Steele, 28, sustained serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, according to the Patrol.
Troopers said impairment is not suspected, and the crash remains under investigation.
