AURORA, Colo. — Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 reopened at Airport Boulevard following a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning.
According to the Aurora Police Department, the incident occurred around 9:15 a.m. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, prompting authorities to advise the public to avoid the area during the investigation.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a woman rear-ended a box truck, becoming wedged underneath it. She was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. No other vehicles were involved, and no additional injuries were reported.
The westbound lanes of Interstate 70 were cleared and reopened by 11 a.m.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
