Dallas County Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash
A 69-year-old woman from Orrville was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday afternoon on Highway 22, about one mile east of Orrville.
According to Trooper Reginal King, Lucy Lewis was driving an SUV when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. At the time of the accident, Lewis was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident. Further details regarding any lane closures or emergency response measures are pending.
