ANDOVER, Mass. —
A woman died late Wednesday in a fiery crash on Interstate 495 in Andover.
Massachusetts State Police responded at 11:30 p.m. to the northbound side of the highway, where a vehicle was off the roadway and on fire. They discovered a 2013 Chrysler Town and Country with two adults and three children inside.
A 25-year-old woman from Lawrence, a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released. The driver was transported to a Boston hospital with serious injuries, while the three children were also taken to a Boston hospital with unknown injuries.
The driver of a second vehicle involved in the crash was unharmed.
The incident remains under investigation, according to authorities.
