GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — A woman was killed in a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of S. Division Ave. and 28th St. SE on Sunday night.
According to the Grand Rapids Police Department, the incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. A vehicle ran a red light while heading northbound on Division Ave., colliding with another vehicle on 28th St. SE.
The driver of the struck vehicle, a woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. There were three occupants in the other vehicle, with one person sustaining serious injuries.
Authorities report that preliminary investigations indicate both alcohol and speed may have contributed to the crash.
