Single-Car Crash in Marengo County Claims One Life

A single-car crash in Marengo County early this morning resulted in the death of a 34-year-old woman.
According to Alabama State Troopers, Laporsha Dumas of Dixon Mills was driving on Alabama Highway 10 when her vehicle struck a utility pole at approximately 12:45 a.m. Authorities reported that Dumas was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred about one mile west of Dixon Mills. An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
